French-American Piano Inc. and Safran Foundation Announce the 2025 Young Pianists Scholarship Recipients: Tom Carré and Félicité Laîné
Recitals to be held in New York and Washington, D.C. in July 2025
The French-American Piano Inc., in partnership with the Safran Corporate Foundation for Music and the Alice Rosner Foundation, is pleased to announce the selection of Tom Carré and Félicité Laîné as the 2025 recipients of the prestigious Young Pianists Scholarship Program. These two outstanding young artists will be presented in recital at the Consulate General of France in New York on July 16, 2025, and at the Embassy of France in Washington, D.C. on July 18, 2025.
This year’s laureates exemplify the extraordinary caliber of young French pianists:
Tom Carré, named an ADAMI Classical Revelation in 2023, has quickly established himself as one of the most compelling pianists of his generation. A laureate of numerous international competitions and praised for his “singular voice” (Classica), he recently released Noctuelles, a solo album of Ravel and Schumann that received a “CHOC” distinction from Classica magazine. A graduate of the CNSMDP and current Artist Diploma candidate, Tom has performed in esteemed venues across Europe and will make his American debut through this program.
Félicité Laîné, also a graduate of the CNSMDP under Frank Braley, brings a unique intellectual and artistic profile, combining rigorous musical training with a master’s degree in philosophy. A laureate of several competitions including the Virtuoses du Cœur (2024), she has performed widely in France and internationally, including concerto appearances in Poland and Moldova and a recent solo recital at Paris’s Cortot Hall.
